English: This is about Osmonaaly Kydyk-uulu (Sydykov; born 1875), the prominent Kyrgyz intellectual, author and educator, who escaped a Stalinist purge in 1931 and took a refuge in neighboring Xinjiang, Western China, until he died in 1942. There was the 100th anniversary of publication of his book in Kyrgyz language in Arabic script (Ufa, 1914), and the cultural event in Kochkor village on 07th August 2014 was devoted to the anniversary.
