Shrewsbury Township Hall. 51 Monmouth Street, Red Bank, NJ . The Romanesque Revival Township Hall was built in 1892 when Red Bank was part of Shrewsbury Township. It was designed by local architect Robert D. Chandler and housed the court room on the first floor and public hall on the second floor. The clock in the tower was paid by public subscription. When Red Bank separated from Shrewsbury Township in 1908, the building served as the Red Bank Police Station and Municipal Court. It served in that capacity until 1997 when Red Bank built a new municipal complex in 1997. It is now owned by St. James Roman Catholic Church.
